I relally need this on the Database, because I'm devoloping an module to
export data to ascii files and I'll need that the sql get the string in
the correct form, with spaces, number formating and date formating.

Another doubt, how can I compile a udf to run on linux server?

Fabricio,

You could, but I suggest you to let formatting to be on the client side,

or if you really wish it on the server side use an UDF, search for rFunc

UDF library (I think it is on sourceforge).
