It's not really a Synaptic problem, but rather Ubuntu installation
package which makes some errors. (Synaptic is just a graphical frontend
to apt-get, which again just deals with packages, no matter if they're
god or bad.)

For example, it messes up the examples directory to employee database is
in /usr/lib/firebird2/examples/examples/employee, although the alias
doesn't point there.
