What is 'wrong' is that the client is displaying information that is
simply not storable in the underlying data field. It WOULD be nice if
one could limit the client to just show the 'accuracy' that is possible
and at least warn where something is not possible - so it is a client
issue.

The isql answer is limited to the available accuracy, but the data
supplied can simply not be handled and was simply trimmed even before
the result was generated?

Personally I avoid FLOAT simply because of the rounding problems ;)
