Are you saying that you have the database on a mounted filesystem? Or, can
you confirm that the filesystems where the database AND the server root
reside are both on filesystems local to the host machine?

I'm a bit doubtful about this for RH 7.2. Are you certain that the OS
supports 64-bit i/o?
