A minute+ looks like some network problem. Firebird does work slow on
slow networks (modem), but not that slow. But, you could define more
closer what does "small request" and "over Internet" mean to you. What
kind of Internet connections are at both ends? What is exactly "small
request"? How does sql look like and how many records is it retrieving?
