For Firebird, use Jaybird, which is also part of the Firebird project.

There's also an ODBC connection driver via JDBC that is provided with
ColdFusion. I've seen that option through all of their examples.
And, the other drivers that comes with ColdFusion are simply
preconfigured JDBC drivers.
