McAfee
Still no response of any kind from McAfee about the way "McAfee
Privacy Service" blocks connections to Firebird and InterBase.
(Several emails and faxes sent to US and UK offices).

ZoneLabs
Puting Interserver on 'blacklist' (!) allows Interbase to work with
"ZoneAlarm Security Suite". Zone Labs say that have no intention of
doing anything about this, like pre-loading a setting to treat
InterBase as a trusted application. At present each user has to do
it themselves.

F-Secure
If the user disables parental control in "F-Secure Internet Security"
it overcomes the interference with Firebird and InterBase. F-Secure
were helpful, are taking this seriously and are investigating a
proper solution.
