Kyle, I should have said start it again once after it has shutdown.
In a production environment where you have possibly multiple databases
such a solution would not work, but this is not the case here.
If it is the GC thread running, then it is wasting your time because
you intend to restore over the top of it (which means you are probably
using the *gasp* -R option of gbak which everyone has tattooed on
their foreheads not to use).
If your transactions are well managed, the GC should finish its job
pretty quickly.
