I am a bit confused because in this environment client could refer to
your customer or a workstation which is not the server.

Are you installing both IB and FB servers on the same box, or do you
have workstations that must be able to connect to the both IB and FB?

You do not need to install FB on workstations that are not the
database server, just a simple dll in the application folder.

I believe your settings are OK if you have the servers on the same box
(but remember to restart FB).
