There are good reasons not to use IBX (pointed out in this thread and
other places), but this is not one of them.

We have an embedded version of our IBX application that works fine, s
simple change in connection string was the only thing required. In any
case, the time may be better spend choosing an alternative with a long
term commitment to FB than trying to work out what went wrong.
