Except for TClientDataSet, the xxxClientDataSet components have been
deprecated. Use a DataSet + Provider + ClientDataSet - you get more
control.

This is a Delphi question therefore OT here. But the answer is, which
version of Delphi 5 are you using? ClientDataSet is only available in the
Enterprise version, not the Professional. Without paying for Enterprise you
don't have a licence for it.
