One easy way, if you're not opposed to using ODBC, is to install the
ODBC Driver, set up an ODBC connection pointing the connection to the
Firebird database on the linux box, then in the BDE add an alias that
uses your new ODBC connection. Inside Delphi you can then add a
Database component and set it's alias property to the alias you created
in the BDE.
