I've been using IBObjects (IBO) as long as I've been using
InterBase/Firebird, it is a great set of components and I wouldn't
like to swap to any other component set. However, others will say the
same thing about FIBPlus. In fact, in this list almost all users of
these two component sets are very satisfied, it is rare to find anyone
who have thoroughly learnt how to use the component set complain.

I've heard that FIBPlus is the one most similar to IBX. I think
(though I don't know if it is true) that FIBPlus requires you to do a
few things manually that IBO does automatically for you, i.e. more
happens 'under the hood' with IBO.
