Subject Re: Re: Zeos components - any issues?

I've been using IBX for IB and FB1.x and Zeos for MySQL. When IB2 becomes
mainstream, I'm afraid this will mean removing IBX from the equation.

At that point, although Zeos has had some problems in the last six months
(apparent team problems, then site hacking), and the general component
architecture has been seriously overhauled over the course of versions, they
seem to remain the single solution of choice when multiple database servers
are considered: IBO, for all its qualities, won't allow you to connect to
MySQL (which in our case is a prerequisite for the hosted part).

I wrote that the 6.x versions have changed a lot but this is mostly for the
best: the architecture is cleaner than in previous versions, a higher-level
abstraction model has been created, and the interfaces for ClientDataSet
have been implemented.
