I can only confirm what Miroslav was writing. Do NOT use the visual
query-designer of CR for Firebird-databases. Write your own
SQL-statements and enter them into the "new command"-field in the
database assistant of CR.

I have several really big and complex reports, at least so I thought
until today :-)
Because they all open in less than 2 or 3 seconds... and this is even
via ODBC!
I am just horrified to think about reports that could need 15 minutes...
