How can you know a manual sweep-command really worked? You simply look at the console output. But because your process works without any interaction, you should let it write out a log. Then you can read the log file when you're back on the computer, and look at the last modified time, to see if any errors occured, and how long the process took (last-modified time - intended start time = duration).
