How can I set a Forced Write?

The ibase_commit() in that position can cause problems?

$conn = ibase_connect($SERVER, $USERID, $PASSWORD) or die ("Impossibile
connettersi al Data Base");
$action = "INSERT INTO table VALUES('$CODICE',

'$GRUPPO','$CODICE_FORN','$SCONTO_1','$SCONTO_2','$SCONTO_3','$SCONTO_4');";
$I = ibase_query($conn,$action);
if (!ibase_errcode())
$msg = "Inserimento effettuato";
else
$err_msg = "Inserimento non effettuato";

ibase_commit();
