In further support of your authority I see that IB 6.0 Data Definition
Guide says:
Dropping a table
Use DROP TABLE to remove a table's data, metadata, and indexes from a
database.
So...I suspect you're correct, and if I ever meet Martin I'll have to
ask him why he's so persnickeddy.
