Just to clarify.
Server is on the internet and you are connecting to that machine via the
ADSL Router.
What ARE you using as the connection string, as the IP address *I* am
talking about should be the IP address of the server!
Or do you have 'mapping' from the ADSL Box ( I use a routing modem
myself without a speed problem - bear in mind that the uplink is only
256k and handshaking has to go back and forth through the different
speed connections )
