We have selected a number of databases that our application will
support. But we have decided to switch out one of our choices for
something that is a bit more robust. I was hoping that would be
Firebird. But now, I'm not so sure Firebird could adequately handle
the pressure when many users start to tear into it.

I hope the Firebird team looks at beefing up their performance real
soon, like for version 1.5/2.0.

But as I stated earlier, none of this was relevant for the problem
that I presented to the newsgroup.
