Alan and Alexandre,
Thanks so much for your help, I will most likely do what you guys
suggest, that means delete the record and let the DBMS take care of
the space as long as it does not grow for ever :-). I will also take a
look at the IBO components you talk about, actually I am using those
in Delphi and did not know about the zip capability, I guess it helps
to read the help file :-).
