Yep, I trust you ;o) But I don't think saying "I once used Miracle (to
take a fictive name) and it counted the rows in 15 seconds, whereas
Firebird needs minutes" can be considered talking negatively about
"Miracle". It is too late know, we all know that you have some
serious, undisclosed issues about this "Miracle", but in general I'd
say it is helpful to mention the name of the database outperforming
Firebird (we could answer: "we know that, in that area we cannot
compete with "Miracle" because..."), whereas it is not helpful in
areas where Firebird is superior ("Hooray, we're the best" is only
useful for sales and making friends at the Firebird Conference).

You were that specific (I just trimmed the reply), and my answer was
regarding this particular thread as well. It isn't good if we give a
hostile impression, even if only in one thread (it could scare some
newcomers from asking at this list and choose a different database due
to the "hostile support forum").
