I haven't deployed an application, but I have followed the support list.
The only significant issue I've seen is that the embedded server, by
design, disallows connections from other processes. That's good,
generally, but it complicates running a gbak backup slightly. Check the
archives - there are a number of ways to integrate backup with an
embedded server.
