I do that with VIEW's - just set up a read only view with the fields
that are allowed.

Not quite sure what you are trying to achieve here. The respondee needs
to be able to write to fields to reply? So would need full access and
the requester would need to see the replies. In any case, VIEW could be
used for a reduced set of fields.

I use the grant manager in IBOConsole.
