1) Are you sure you installed Superserver and not Classic? (Classic doesn't
support local connect).

2) Is the client trying to connect as a Terminal Services/Remote Desktop
client? (TS doesn't allow local connect either).

3) Can IBOConsole see the firebird client? It expects to load a copy of
fbclient.dll, renamed as gds32.dll, from the system path or from its local
directory.
