Hi Helen,

Yep, Superserver ("C:\Program
Files\Firebird\Firebird_1_5\bin\fbserver.exe -s" on Windoze XP. File
does have extension of .gdb - trying to access example db's.

As I put in my follow-on post, I CAN connect using local:..., but
don't understand why I have to use that. On my other machine I don't
have to.
