Subject Re: VB and Firebird

If you will be programming in classic VB (VB6) then you can use ADO in
conjunction with an appropiate Firebird/Interbase ADO provider or the
Firebird ODBC driver. If you have experience programming in VB6 and
you want to avoid using ADO, you can try FBDLL4VB
(http://fbdll4vb.sourceforge.net/). If on the other hand you will be
using VB.NET then you can use the .NET Firebird provider.

BTW, don't worry about people saying that VB sucks. Every programming
language has it's advantage and disadvantage. I program in VB6, Java
and now C#. I like them all and VB still helps me alot in solving
business problems.
