What happens in a GBAK restore after it finishes, closes, and goes home?
Today, I managed to get three lines with error messages from gbak efter the
usual "all's well" line. And, no, I don't remember the message texts.
The database seemed ok, but only SYSDBA had access.
The sequence of actions was:
1. Fetched the ALIAS file into an editor, and changed a filename of an
existing alias.
2. Started a restore to that alias
3. Exited the editor, and OK'ed saving the edited file (Yes, I had
forgotten to do this)
When gbak ended, the alias referred to different filename. Which may have
confused gbak.
I started a new restore, and all's well now.
