While I am not one to spit at the idea of a good GUI tool (The world
needs a whole lot more), most experienced DB admins are quite
comfortable at the command line, and tend to make scripts for tedious
and redundant tasks.
I would guess that the NEED for a GUI tool is for those new to
databases, or for those that don't deal with them regularly.
Maybe either a wrapper around the command line tools, or fat binaries
that are both console and command line aware, would be appropriate.
