Hello, Jack:
I just finished an application which used Firebird on a Flash drive, just
fine. Its a tutoring program for students to take home to use and bring
back after a month to upload their testing data. My wife passes them out
on flash drives (the students love'm!). It uses the embedded version of
Firebird.
It is only a little slower than using the hard disk directly, and even
then only on the initial set up of files, etc.
Good luck,
Chuck Belanger
