I tried it with localhost and got:

First, a few questions: Are you loged as "rdebay" or someting like or as *firebird user* when you connect to database? Are that user rigths to create files in "/opt/firebird/rxs_log"?

Again, try whit "localhost:/path/to/file.fbd"
