We love Firebird. It has treated us well. We have larger clients with
IT Departments that are requesting SQL Server because they have a few
application built using SQL Server. We have kept them at bay for 3 or 4
years now, but they won't give up. They are willing to pay for the
change and now we are having to do it. I just wish that SQL Server
supported Selectable Stored Procedures because our application is full
of them.

We want so much to be able to support both Firebird and SQL Server. We
can't find a practical approach to doing this. We don't even mind
keeping two versions of the database going and supporting both. The
problem is the differences in the front end of our application. If
anyone has any ideas, please let us know.
