Hi Alan,

think I got it.

I?m working with firebird V1.03 Superserver. This is a "first"
installation, no upgrades.

It is a standard installaion, no unnormal additions.
There are no futher clients on this machine installed. Windows
applications (delphi) accessing firebird database on linux machine.
Everything works fine, except of the access via linux shell.
