I usually use NUMERIC(18,2), and for values of inventory where amounts need
to be calculated as a percentage or a fraction, I use NUMERIC(18,4)
I.e. 1 tonne of peanuts is $450.3428 dollars. That way when someone buys
100grams, the accuracy is still l pretty good.
