If the error message reported above is a faithful copy of the error message
you saw, then one thing it's saying to me is that something is definitely
screwy when the interface is scrambling the text of an error message string.

A more useful place to post this question would be the firebird-odbc-devel
list. That's where you are most likely to discover whether anyone else has
had a similar problem with your toolset, and what the solution might be.
