I have started the isql tool from the startmenu and dit what you have
sugested (i have called this in my previous post 'commandline'), with
gives me the same -904 error.
After that error i have tried your suggestion with a graphical tool called
flamerobin and there i could open the database.
SQL> CONNECT 'C:\Program Files\Firebird\Firebird_1_5\examples\EMPLOYEE.FDB'
CON> user 'sysdba' password 'masterkey';
Statement failed, SQLCODE = -904
unavailable database
SQL>
to be sure i have no typo's i dit copy and pasts.
