Thank's for all explanations. I still feel, that I would like to know
more about performance issues with Firebird, about the influence of
the different settings in the database and the server configuration.

I think the only book about Firebird is the one by Helene. Does it
cover this topic too? I didn't find any details about the content in
the web.
