I hadn't paid much attention to the Page buffers (I just looked it up in
the Firebird Book!). The setting I have comes from a component I use (I
think). We are using super server, The DB is about 300MB, 12 users, and
the machine running it has plenty of RAM (more than Igig I believe).

What do you recommend?
