You can start with FB Quick Start Guide (pdf document that is included
in FB distributive, AFAIR). Strings concatenation is mentioned there
in "Firebird SQL" chapter. Also refer to IB6 beta documentation -
langref.pdf probably is what you need. And don't forget about FB
release notes - they contain information on all FB changes and
improvements.
