Yes, but even developers often have insufficient knowledge of the
English language to be able to choose good English names for
identifiers. I consider myself very good at English but even I find it
difficult at times, and have to resort to dictionaries. And even then
I'm not sure I choose the correct term, because the finer points of
almost-synonyms escapes me.

And then there's the problem of messed-up meanings if you simply drop
accents etc, that I mentioned in my reply to your other message.
