I just got started with Ruby on Rails, but with PostgreSQL and MySQL.
I also just found out that ruby has a pure ruby ruby-mysql library
(before this I had to compile the extension).
It would be nice to have ruby (especially a pure ruby API) to Firebird.
It would truly speeden up development speed.

There are many ways of going forward, but there is only one way of
standing still.
