I searched for isc_version but found nothing.
I guess you are refering to isc_info_svc_server_version?

However, it does not return whether it is Classic or SuperServer. It
returns a string like: WI-V1.5.2.4731 Firebird 1.5, and nothing can be
concluded from that.

Or I'm missing something?
