How big is the very big blob? There are a couple of known problems wit
blobs over 2Gb, one having to do with gbak and the others with stream
blobs.

There's also a new backup with V2 that should make you life easier - it
includes incremental backups and is physical, so logical inconsistencies
don't interfere with the backup/restore.
