Superserver or classic? You might be running into an NPTL problem -
that's the only thing that leaps to mind. There are different kits for
systems with and without native posix thread library and possibly the
wrong pairing could give you problems with Superserver. It might be
slightly interesting to know where gbak dies... (i.e. gbak ... -v)
