I think you need to start by identifying just where the delay is. You
haven't given anyone any real information for others to help you. You
don't say, for example whether you are running CS or SS. You don't
indicate if your example includes connecting to a server, or whether it
is just the time to execute an sql statement. If it is just the latter
then more information, like the plan might be useful. If it is the former
then you need to look at how your network is set up.
