Yes. Totally agree. Or introduce the new behavior in a new major version
and drop that hopefully small item of backwards compatibility. Those who
need the old behavior can always stay at the old version until they can
find the resources to adapt to the new corrected version. It's bad
manners to exploit "features" that are obviously not supposed to be
there, and this is as obvious as it gets.
