You would be better off with metadata-only backup&restore. In such
case you only need to watch out for generators. In Firebird 1.x they
get backed-up and restored with DDL, so make sure you set them to
proper values after (or before) the pumping.

Where does it pump from? If it is another Firebird database, you might
consider FBCopy which has so far show to be very robust and stable.
