Not at all.
I am using the installed gbak. I only installed one version on a clean
machine.
Doing a verbose backup -v it shows the problem in a specific table.
I have tried Helen's recipy from appendix IV of her book but to no
avail.

You're not using a different version of Firebird tools to backup the 1.5
version database?

It sounds like there's a version mismatch...
