If you look at it in perspective it is not such a huge issue. Until
recently you would have encountered some other database or file system
limitation before you had any real chance to overflow the TID. I had it
in my mind that this is increased in FB 2 to 40 bits but I may be just
very warm today and not thinking straight. If I am right about that,
you can perform over 30,000 transactions per second and still last a
year.
