Thanks for the response, and sorry for the late reply.
Its been driving me crazy for a few days. I believe its an issue in
1.7.1.0 RC3 and RC4. I have only removed those versions and compiled
with 1.7a and it all seems to work again.
I am still unsure what the issue is, as none of the backup code using
the FbBackup class has changed. I had thought it was a connection
string issue at one point but that hasn't changed, so at least I have
a solution in the short term, albeit not quite upto date.
